European MS Consortium to use Voxeleron’s Orion for OCT Image Analysis
Voxeleron is excited to announce their collaborative role in the Sys4MS (Systems for Multiple Sclerosis) multi-center research initiative aimed at developing new tools for personalized management of patients with MS and other complex diseases. Sys4MS focuses on five specific areas: genomics, proteomics, cytomics, imaging and phenotype. The imaging portion, run from the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin’s NeuroCure Clinical Research Center, will use OrionTM to analyze OCT images and help quantify damage to the central nervous system.
“Analyzing all scans with the same software is especially important for us,” said Dr. Alexander Brandt, M.D., the head of the Neurodiagnostics Laboratory at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin’s and the leader of the image analysis effort. “It considerably eases our reading workflow. We are very glad that Voxeleron has provided us with this solution and hope it will support new and useful findings.”
